Update: the rubber band on my kitchen faucet handle fixed a 3 month drip
The handle kept slipping down and dripping every 10 minutes, so I wrapped a thick rubber band around the base of the handle 4 times and it held tight for 2 weeks now, and I'm wondering if anyone has a fix that doesn't look quite so junky before my sister visits in June?

Clear nail polish on the handle base works way better and looks fine.
