Got offered a job in Nashville for $52k or stayed at my Denver gig for $47k, and I picked wrong
Two recruiters hit me up the same week back in March, one for a billing job in Nashville at $52k and my current spot in Denver offered $47k to stay. I took the Nashville one because the number was bigger and I did not run the math on rent, which jumped from $1,100 to $1,650 for a smaller place. Six weeks in I was eating cereal for dinner and my old team in Denver just gave everyone a 6% raise, so I basically went backwards. Has anyone here actually done the reverse and stayed somewhere for less money? Did it work out or did you feel stuck?
