Got told my survey questions were too leading, so I rewrote them all

I run a small market research thing on the side and a client pointed out that I was basically putting words in people's mouths. She gave me an example from my own survey: 'How much did you enjoy our service?' instead of 'Rate your experience from 1 to 5.' I redid every question last Tuesday and the responses are way more honest now. Has anyone else had to kill their own bias in a questionnaire?

But does it really matter if people say they love what you're selling? I think asking the wrong question can be worse than asking for honest feedback about whats working and what isnt. Maybe thats just me.

Ha! @wendyk56 nailed it. I once asked people 'how much they loved' my product. Facepalm.
