Hit 10,000 steps for 30 days straight and didn't think it would matter
I started tracking steps just to see where I was at. First week I averaged maybe 4,000 a day. I kept at it, small walks after dinner, parking farther out. By day 30 I hit 10,000 every day for a month. Honestly I didn't expect much but my resting heart rate dropped from 72 to 64. Has anyone else seen real health changes from just walking more?

Is 8 beats really that big of a deal though? I mean sure your heart rate dropped but that could be from anything. Maybe you slept better or drank less coffee that month. People get way too hung up on step counts like it's some magic number. I've seen guys brag about 10k steps while eating like garbage and chugging energy drinks. Walking a bit more is fine but calling it a health change feels like a stretch. You probably just got a little more consistent with life not necessarily healthier.

Man that's exactly what I've been noticing everywhere lately. @hayes.joel people act like one metric tells the whole story but the real picture is way more complex. Health is a jigsaw puzzle not a single number on a watch screen.
