I finally compared asking a general question versus a super specific one on here
I posted 'how do I get more traffic?' and got vague advice, but then I asked 'how do I get more traffic for a local tile store in Phoenix?' and got three actionable tips in an hour. The specific details made all the difference. What's the most specific question you've asked that got a great answer?

Wow, the internet hates helping general people.

Is it really that bad though?

I read a blog post that called this the "curse of knowledge." Experts forget what beginners don't know, so they need those specific details to connect. It's why "fix my car" gets nothing, but "my 2010 Civic makes a grinding noise when I turn left" can get a real answer.
