Pro tip: I tried tracking my spending with a notebook instead of an app for 3 months
I used a $2 notebook from the drugstore for every purchase since March instead of the budgeting app I'd been paying $8 a month for. Writing it down by hand made me actually feel each purchase, and I cut my random spending by about $200 a month without really trying. Has anyone else noticed that old school methods work better than the fancy ones for stuff like this?
