Shoutout to the guy who told me to let my dog clippers cool down between poodle cuts

Was burning through blades every 3 months until a retired groomer at a yard sale said to keep a spare set rotating and let them rest 15 minutes, now a single blade lasts me almost a year has anyone else dealt with overheating tools ruining their work.

Simple fix that a lot of people don't think about. Treating blades like a tool instead of just running them into the ground saves a ton of money and headache in the long run.

Honestly, I used to be one of those people who thought letting clippers cool down was some old wives' tale or a waste of time. I'd just run them hot until they literally seized up, burning through blades way too fast. Tbh, that bit about "letting them rest 15 minutes" really changed my mind after I tried it myself. Now I swap between two clippers and give each one a solid break, and yeah, my blades last way longer than they used to. Ngl, it's one of those simple fixes that makes a huge difference.

Isn't it funny how the same simple thing OVERHEATS everything from clippers to phone chargers and coffee grinders?
