That week my AC units died in a heatwave taught me a hard lesson
Last July three compressors went out in four days and I had to tell a family with a baby it'd be 48 hours before I could get a part. I now carry two of every common capacitor and contactor in my truck at all times. How many spares do you techs keep on hand?

Read a guy swears by carrying 3 of everything common now.

Oh man that reminds me, my brother in law is one of those guys who carries around like 4 different pocket knives and 3 flashlights everywhere he goes. We were at a cookout last summer and someone needed a bottle opener and he pulls out this tiny multitool from his keychain that had one built in. Then ten minutes later someone else asks for a corkscrew and he's got that too. I swear he's like a walking hardware store, it's actually kind of impressive how prepared he is for basically nothing happening.
