I used to think those bright green aurora photos were all fake edits

Then I saw them myself from a hill outside Fairbanks, Alaska, and my phone camera caught the color perfectly. Has anyone else been totally wrong about what a camera can capture?

My old point and shoot camera caught a double rainbow once, clear as day. It made me realize how much we doubt things just because we haven't seen them ourselves. Happens with all kinds of stuff, not just photos.

My uncle's farm in Nebraska gets double rainbows all the time, so I've never really doubted they were real. I get what you're saying, @stella_lane, but sometimes doubt is a good thing, right? Like, shouldn't we question stuff before just believing it? The world is full of fake photos, so a little doubt keeps you from falling for everything.

Wow, I was the same way. Always figured those shots were heavily edited. Seeing it with my own eyes, and then having my basic phone camera pick it up, completely changed my mind.
