PSA: My old tripod was ruining my deep sky shots until I added a 5lb sandbag.

I was getting blurry trails on 30-second exposures, but hanging a weight from the hook stabilized everything. Anyone have a better fix for wind shake?

Ever try tightening the leg locks before you hang the weight?

My tripod is so flimsy it gets scared by its own shadow.

My old Velbon was so shaky I had to hold my breath for long exposures!
