Tried shooting Orion with my phone on a cheap tripod and got star trails shaped like a question mark
I left the shutter open for 30 seconds on a $20 tripod in my backyard in Reno last night, and instead of a clean shot of the nebula I got a weird curved streak that looks like a question mark, which I'm guessing means my tripod drifted or my hands bumped it when I hit the button, so has anyone else gotten weird trail shapes from a shaky setup and figured out what caused it?
