Tried the tape over the lens trick on Jupiter, got dust dots instead
Last month I saw a post saying you can tape a piece of paper over your phone lens with a tiny pinhole to dim bright objects, so I tried it on Jupiter at 2am in my driveway. The first 3 shots came out as a white blob, then I cut the hole bigger and finally got two faint cloud bands showing. The problem is the tape edge shows up as dark specks, so I switched to black electrical tape and pressed it flat against the glass. Anyone got a better way to cut down glare on a phone, or should I just give up and save for a real camera?
