Used to lug my 8 inch dob to a dark site in Mojave, now I image from my driveway in Bakersfield
The drive out there killed my back and I got maybe 2 good shots a month, but now with a small rig on my patio I pull 4 minute subs every clear night, and honestly I miss squinting through the eyepiece more than I thought I would.

The 4 minute subs are nice but nothing beats that feeling when your eye finally catches a faint galaxy after staring for 10 minutes. I ended up keeping a cheap 6 inch dob just for those nights when I need the eyepiece fix.
