Vent: I spent 45 minutes trying to get a shot of the Orion Nebula with my phone held up to the eyepiece before a friend in Tucson finally told me about basic camera adapters.
My old method involved a lot of swearing and blurry blobs, but now I use a $25 adapter from Amazon and actually capture something that looks like space, not a smudge on a lens.

Honestly, that whole phone-to-eyepiece dance is a special kind of torture. I'm pretty sure I invented new swear words during my own blurry blob phase. That cheap adapter feels like finding a cheat code, even if it falls apart next week. At least the pictures will prove I didn't just imagine the whole thing.
