Bought a $35 countertop composter off Facebook Marketplace and it actually doesn't smell
I was sure it was gonna be a gimmick for Atlanta apartments but after a month of using it my kitchen trash barely fills up which is wild considering how much food scraps I make, anyone else try one of these or just stick with the regular compost drop-offs?

Bro I actually read somewhere that those countertop compost bins are basically just expensive trash cans unless you're dumping them every 2 days. Saw this post from a gardening blog that tested like 5 different brands and all of them got nasty slime buildup after a week. The activated carbon filters do nothing once they get wet. My buddy got one for christmas and said it smelled worse than his actual kitchen trash. Seems like they're designed more for looks than function if you ask me.
