Had to choose between a house in East Atlanta or a condo in Midtown back in 2018

Picked the East Atlanta house for the yard and parking, and now I spend every Saturday fighting kudzu instead of walking to restaurants... anyone else regret picking space over convenience?

Man, it's like we all have to learn this lesson the hard way. It's funny how we spend so much time dreaming about having space but never think about the work that comes with it. Meanwhile, my friend in a tiny condo is complaining about hearing their neighbor's TV through the wall every night. There's no winning, you just get to pick which kind of headache you'd rather have on a Saturday.

Oh man, I feel this so hard. I did the same thing back in 2015 with a fixer-upper and spent two years battling English ivy before I gave up and hired a guy with a goat. Seriously, look into renting goats for a weekend if the kudzu is that bad - it saved my sanity. And @the_susan is right about the grass being greener thing - my buddy in Midtown pays parking fees that would make your eyes water. But here's what I learned: you can always drive to restaurants, but you can't buy back your time slapping at weeds. Maybe try sectioning off part of the yard to go natural and just maintain a small area for sitting.
