Paid $85 for a guy to reseal my driveway and now it's cracking after 2 months
Saw a truck with a sign in East Atlanta, guy said he'd do it for cash cheap. He rolled up, sprayed some black stuff, took my money and left. Now there's weeds coming through and it looks like a spiderweb. Anyone know a legit company that won't rip you off?

Sprayed some black stuff" - that's wild lol. Did he at least pretend to spread it with a brush or squeegee, or did he literally just hose it down and bounce?

Man that sucks so bad. 85 bucks isn't nothing these days and to have it falling apart already? Total scam. Those guys with the little signs are always a gamble, I learned that the hard way with a roof patch job that leaked after one rain. For a legit driveway guy, try asking around your neighborhood Facebook group or Nextdoor, that's how I found the guy who did my folks' place a few years back and it's still holding up. Just make sure they show you a proper contract before they start, not just a handshake and a scribbled receipt. Hope you get it sorted without having to spend a fortune to fix it.

Did they actually put down any sealer or was it just like black water? lol I fell for the same thing like three years ago with a landscaping guy who said he'd mulch my flower beds for cheap. Dude showed up with a truck, threw down some black stuff literally from a truck bed, took my money and I never saw him again. The stuff washed away in the first good rain and I ended up paying a real company double to fix it. It sucks because you think you're saving a buck but you end up paying more in the long run. For a legit driveway guy definitely ask around your neighbors or check the Atlanta subreddit, that's where I found the crew that did my parents place and it's still good after like two years. Just don't fall for the "cash only, no contract" guys again, they're always a scam.
