PSA: Never use the Marta elevator at Five Points after 6pm
Got stuck last Thursday around 7:15pm in the elevator by the Peachtree Street exit. Doors closed, lights flickered, then it just stopped between floors. I hit the call button and heard nothing for a solid 8 minutes, nobody answered the intercom. Another rider finally got cell service and called 911, and the fire department showed up after 20 more minutes to pry us out. Station staff said the call system has been down for weeks, so you're on your own down there. Has anyone else had this happen at other stations, or is it just Five Points?

My track record with Marta elevators is so bad that my friends joke I should just start taking the stairs to avoid becoming a local news story. Got trapped at the Lindbergh station one time for about 15 minutes and the intercom there was basically a brick too, so it seems like this is a system wide thing and not just Five Points. That said, I usually ride during the day so maybe I have just been lucky with the timing. Your mileage may vary, but I would not count on that call button working at any station after hours.
