Tried the Saturday farmer's market at Freedom Park instead of the one at Piedmont Park and it's way less crowded

That "sad looking kale" line had me chuckling because you're right, the greens at Piedmont have been looking pretty rough lately. I actually heard a local gardener on the radio say Freedom Park gets produce straight from smaller farms that don't spray everything.

Well, why didn't somebody tell me this sooner? I've been fighting crowds at Piedmont like a fool just to get my hands on some sad looking kale. Guess I'll be making the switch before I get trampled by a stroller again.

That "sad looking kale" line really hit home. It feels like everything is getting a little more worn down lately, not just the produce. I've noticed it at the hardware store too, the shelves are half empty and the stuff they do have just seems lower quality than a few years back. We're all just out here fighting for the scraps, whether it's kale or a decent bag of screws. It makes you wonder where the good stuff actually goes these days. Maybe we're all just learning to look in the right places instead of the crowded ones.
