Update: it took me 6 weeks to figure out the permit for my Little Five Points porch railing
I finally got the OK on my porch railing permit yesterday and I want to tell someone who gets it. I figured it was a quick thing, maybe a week of paperwork, since it's just replacing a railing that was already there. Nope. The city kicked it back twice, first because the drawing didn't show the stair rise and then because I used the old form that got changed last year. Each round trip added about 10 days of waiting, so six weeks total for something my neighbor said took him 4 days in 2019. The trick that finally worked was going down to the office on Piedmont in person and asking the desk guy which sheet they actually look at first. Has anybody else here dealt with the permit portal lately, and did it move faster for you or am I just slow at this?
