Why is everyone so down on using a reciprocating saw for tree trimming?

I got tired of paying $80 a pop for a tree service to trim branches near my roof line in Decatur. Grabbed my old Sawzall with a pruning blade and cleaned up three big oaks in under two hours. Has anyone else found this works fine or am I the one missing something?

Holding a buzzing saw over your head on a ladder is asking for a trip to the ER.

Tripped on a root carrying mine once, now that was a real trip to the ER. Found out the hard way branches don't hit back, but gravity sure does.
