I finally tried a cordless impact wrench on suspension work and now I get the hype

Honestly, I've been using air tools for like 15 years at my shop over in Denver. Last month I picked up a Milwaukee M18 impact wrench on a whim because my compressor kept kicking on during a big job. Tbh I thought it would be weak compared to my old Ingersoll Rand air gun. But I used it to break loose rusted control arm bolts on a 2012 F-150 and it spun them right off no problem. The biggest difference was not having to drag an air hose across the bay every time I moved to a different corner of the car. For the cost of the tool and battery, it paid for itself in saved time after a few jobs. Has anyone else made the switch from air to cordless and found one area where it just can't keep up yet?

Does the battery ever die halfway through a tough job?

Oh man, I had a buddy who swore by his air tools for years. He finally bought a DeWalt cordless impact last spring and was loving it until he was out in his driveway in the rain trying to swap a stuck alternator on his old Silverado. The battery was at like 40% and it just wouldn't break the tensioner bolt loose. He ended up soaking the thing in PB Blaster for an hour while the battery charged back up on his porch. He said it was the most frustrating hour of his life just standing there watching rain drip down his neck.
