Spent 4 hours hunting a vacuum leak that was right in front of my face
I was chasing a rough idle on a 2014 Ford Focus, checked every hose and gasket twice, even pulled the intake manifold off. Turns out it was a tiny crack in the PCV valve elbow that I could have seen if I'd just used a mirror instead of my eyeballs. Anyone else waste a whole afternoon on something that simple?

Read somewhere that those PCV elbows on the Focus are notorious for cracking... could've saved you the headache if you'd known that beforehand.

Nah, I've had three Foci and never had one crack. YMMV though.
