Swapped out my old impact gun for a Milwaukee M18 Fuel mid-torque last week after fighting with rusted bolts for 3 years
Used to spend 20 minutes soaking everything in PB Blaster and still snapping bolts, now I just zip em off in 5 seconds flat, anyone else make the switch and wonder why they waited so long?

Oh come on man, it can't be that bad. I've been using the same old Craftsman impact for like 8 years and it handles rusted bolts fine. Maybe you just need to use better penetrating oil or hit the bolt with a torch for a few seconds first. I mean yeah, the M18 is a nice tool and all, but spending 20 minutes on PB Blaster sounds like you were either using the wrong stuff or just letting it sit way too long. I've seen guys swap tools every year thinking it'll fix everything when really it's just technique. But hey, if it works for you then whatever, just saying it might not be as big a deal as you're making it out to be.

Wait, three YEARS? That's wild to me. I had a similar setup with a cheap electric impact and I was doing the same dance with PB Blaster and a torch. Even tried the candle wax trick once cause I was getting desperate. Finally grabbed the M18 Fuel high torque after a brake job that took me six hours on a Saturday. The first time I zipped off a bolt that would've snapped or rounded off with my old gun, I just sat there staring at the socket like it was magic. Your 20 minutes vs 5 seconds is dead on, no exaggeration at all.
