Warning: that $40 fuel injector cleaner treatment did nothing for my F-150
I spent $40 on a 3-step fuel injector cleaning kit from the parts store and ran it through my 2015 F-150 last weekend. My mileage was garbage, like 13 mpg, and the idle was rough so I figured it would help. Turns out the real issue was a clogged MAF sensor which cost me $18 and 10 minutes to fix with some spray. The injector kit did absolutely nothing, I wasted a whole Saturday afternoon with all that running and waiting. I shoulda just pulled the codes and done a proper diagnosis instead of throwing parts and chemicals at it. Anyone else get burned by these miracle in-a-bottle treatments?

lmao same here, dumped money into my truck before noticing it was just a dirty sensor, never again.
