Daylight saving time wrecked my autopilot intercepts for a week

Swapped a Garmin G5000 box at KPWK last month and spent 6 days chasing a 15 degree heading offset every time we flew at dusk. Turns out the previous guy had the clock set to UTC but the nav database wanted local, so everything computed off by the sun angle. Anyone else run into firmware that gets stupid around clock changes, or am I the only one who trusts the GPS time too much?
