Digital test logs vs paper sign-offs, which one do you actually trust?
Last Tuesday I was doing a pitot static check and the new tech next to me kept bugging me to switch to his tablet app for records, but I saw him lose a whole morning's data when the battery died near Bakersfield... I get that paper gets coffee stains and lost in the hangar, but at least I can flip back through the last 6 months without scrolling. Has anyone else here had a hard time trusting digital logs when the FAA asks for proof on a 2-year-old inspection?
Keeps happening everywhere, right? My bank, my insurance, everything is on some app now and the second the wifi drops or the login breaks you're just stuck with no proof of anything. Paper feels old school but at least nobody can lock me out of a folder sitting in my truck.
