Heard a young tech in Tulsa call a cannon plug "basically a fancy USB" and it got me thinking
I was at the hangar in Tulsa helping a new hire trace a fault on a comm radio, and he told me a cannon plug is basically a fancy USB. I get why he sees it that way since it's just pins and a shell, but it made me wonder if we're teaching the why behind the connector (contact tension, moisture, pinout mistakes) or just how to plug it in. How do you all get new techs to slow down and respect the small stuff before they move to the big systems?
