Wasted $400 on a 'top of the line' crimper and it mangled every connector until I figured it out

Honestly though, isn't it kind of on you for not checking the pressure setting first? I mean, $400 for a crimper and you just went at it without even looking at the manual or messing with the adjustments? That's like buying a sports car and getting mad it won't drive slow in a school zone without flipping the switch. Most tools have a learning curve, especially high end ones. If it mangled everything right out of the box, that's a clear sign you skipped a step, not that the tool is junk.
