Can we talk about how everyone suddenly wants to do the Wonderland Trail in one push?
Was chatting with a ranger at the Longmire desk in Mount Rainier last month and he mentioned they logged over 400 requests for the Wonderland this season, way more than he's seen in his 12 seasons there. His take was that social media is pushing people to skip the 8 to 10 day version and try to crush the 93 miles in 4 or 5. I get wanting the challenge but that pace barely leaves room to actually enjoy Indian Bar or Summerland. Anyone here done it fast and actually liked it, or is the slow route just better?
