Just realized I wasted $40 on a 'shortcut' trail map that was completely wrong

It sent me on a washed-out path near the Three Sisters Wilderness, costing me half a day of hiking. Anyone know a reliable, free map source for that area?

Forest Service maps can be wrong too, you know.

Man, that's the worst. It's like paying for bad advice, which happens way too often now (like those "premium" apps that are just worse than free ones). For that area, the Forest Service PDF maps are solid and free, you just have to find the right ranger district site. CalTopo is also a great free tool to check against.
