Water filter clogged at 9,000 ft on the JMT, took 4 hours to fix
Woke up near Muir Pass and the filter was pushing maybe a drip a minute. Turned out algae had packed the prefilter and I didn't carry a spare brush. Anyone else carry a backup cleaning method for those high alpine lakes?

Pre- filter the lake water through a dirty bandana, saves the brush.
