Everyone loves string lights but nobody talks about the sag
Tbh, string lights are the go-to for patios but after 6 months mine drooped so bad they looked like a sad clothesline. I replaced the cheap wire stakes with 4 foot metal poles and tightened the turnbuckles, that fixed it. Anyone else deal with this or just me?

My buddy put up string lights last summer and by fall they were dragging so low his dog kept walking under them and getting tangled. He finally went out there one night with a six pack and just started cranking the little plastic hooks tighter, but two of them snapped clean off. Ended up zip tying the wires to the fence posts and it looked way better, but then the lights swung every time the wind blew. He just gave up and took them down before the first snow, said it wasn't worth the hassle. Ever try the metal poles with a concrete base instead?
