My neighbor Gary says a fire pit ruins a yard, I say it makes it, who's right here
Gary from two doors down came over while I was stacking stone for a fire pit and said I was wasting 400 bucks because all fire pits do is smoke up your chairs and leave ash everywhere. He said his brother in Toledo built one in 2019 and used it twice, then just stored flower pots in it. I get his point about the smoke following you around no matter where you sit, but I keep thinking about cool nights out there with people actually staying in the yard past dark. So do fire pits earn their keep in your yards or is Gary onto something?
