Had a guy quote me $3,800 for a 12x14 paver patio in Columbus back in April. He convinced me to pay an extra $1,200 upfront for a proper crushed stone base because my yard has bad drainage. Three rains later and the whole thing is sinking in one corner, bricks shifting everywhere. I dug down and there's barely 2 inches of gravel under the sand, not the 6 he promised. He won't answer my calls now. Anyone else deal with a contractor who pocketed the upgrade money and half-assed the base?
