Question about the cheap string lights that ruined my 4th of July cookout
Two summers back I hung $15 string lights from Harbor Freight over my patio in Tucson and during the cookout half the strand died, so I stood there in the dark swapping bulbs while 12 guests ate cold burgers. I almost tossed the whole setup, but my neighbor Ray told me to add a second strand on its own plug so one dead bulb wouldn't kill the run. Now I run two separate lines and it has been fine for 2 summers. Anyone else split their lights into zones, or do you just buy the pricey ones from the start?
