Three years of fighting patio moss finally solved by one cheap thing
I live near Portland and my back patio gets zero direct sun, so for 3 years I battled green slime every spring. I tried bleach, power washing, even a fancy sealer. Last week I finally bought a $12 bottle of granular moss killer from the hardware store, sprinkled it on, and within 2 days the moss turned black and just brushed off. Has anyone else had good luck with the simple stuff over the heavy duty treatments?

My neighbor Deb tried that moss killer stuff on her driveway last year and it worked great, but then she had to spend an afternoon scrubbing off all the dead moss clumps because they turned into these weird crunchy patches that her dog kept trying to eat.

Man it's wild how fixing one problem just creates another one, isn't it? That's how a lot of stuff goes these days - you patch up one thing and something else pops up that you didn't think about. Makes you wonder if we're just trading hassles for different hassles half the time. Guess that's life though, nothing ever comes without some kind of catch.
