Tried a cheap misting system in the backyard and it actually works

I picked up one of those $40 misting kits from the hardware store last weekend cause it was on clearance. Hooked it up to my patio umbrella frame and ran the line under the deck boards. It dropped the temp on my back porch by a good 10 degrees in this Texas heat. Has anyone else tried those budget kits or am I just lucky it didn't burst on day one?

Man I was totally skeptical about those cheap kits but you might have just changed my mind.

Take a chance on the cheap stuff once and you'll start questioning every expensive thing you've ever bought, @finleym43. It's crazy how many brands just slap a big price on the same basic parts that come in those kits. Makes you wonder what else we're overpaying for just because of the label.
