Visited a community garden in Portland and noticed their clever patio layout
I was walking through the Lents Community Garden in Portland last weekend and saw how they set up their little patio area. They used recycled rubber pavers instead of concrete or stone, and the ground was so much softer on the knees. The whole space was about 10 by 12 feet and they bordered it with tall potted grasses for privacy. I never thought about using rubber tiles for a backyard patio before but it made total sense for noise reduction too. Anyone ever try those rubber pavers or have another cheap alternative for a snug patio space?

Huh, did they feel slippery when wet though?

Funny you ask, my buddy put those rubber pavers in his little side yard last summer. He said they got a tiny bit slick right after a rain but dried way faster than he expected. He's super happy with them still.
