My neighbor told me I was planting my tomatoes too deep and I finally listened
For years I buried my tomato seedlings right up to the top leaves because I heard it made stronger roots. Then my neighbor across the fence said I was burying them too deep and causing stem rot on the lower part. Has anyone else had a neighbor's tip completely change how they do a basic garden chore?

Yeah burying them deep like that can rot the stem for sure.

@sethhernandez it's like burying your problems too deep, they always find a way to rot eventually.

You ever watch a friend try to ignore a problem until it just... gets worse? I had a buddy who found out his girlfriend was cheating and he just pretended everything was fine, kept buying her gifts and stuff. A few months later she cleaned out their joint bank account and moved out while he was at work. He said he thought if he didn't talk about it, it'd just go away on its own. But nah, all that buried hurt just festered until it exploded way worse than if he'd faced it head on.
