My squash plants taught me a lesson about patience last July
I was about to rip out my yellow squash vines after 6 weeks of nothing but leaves, then found 8 perfect squash hiding under the big leaves. Anybody else had a plant surprise you like that?

Same thing happened to me with my cucumbers last August. I had given up on them, figured the heat wave got em, and then I found like 10 massive cukes hidden under all those big leaves. It's funny how we get so focused on what we expect to see that we miss what's actually there. I think it's less about deep philosophy and more just a reminder to slow down and really look sometimes. Glad you found your squash, that must have felt like finding treasure in your own garden.

lol bro it's a squash plant not a deep life philosophy. They grow fast and hide fruit all the time, that's just what they do. I pull zucchini off mine every year that I swear just appeared overnight. I wouldn't call it a lesson about patience, more like you just didn't check under the leaves lol.

That's the thing though, isn't it? We're always looking for the big obvious signs in life and totally miss the stuff that's just hiding right in front of us until it's way bigger than we expected.
