My tomato plants thrived for two weeks straight then I lost half in one afternoon
I had a perfect run in late July where my San Marzano tomatoes put on 6 inches of growth and set 20 fruit clusters without a single pest issue. Then a surprise hailstorm rolled through my backyard in Denver and shredded 12 of my 24 plants beyond saving. Has anyone else had a great veggie streak ruined by weather you couldn't predict?

That hailstorm story hits hard. A buddy of mine had a whole patch of green beans wiped out by a sudden windstorm that came out of nowhere last June, just as they were starting to produce.

Damn, "just as they were starting to produce" - that makes it even worse lol. All that waiting and watching, getting excited for those first beans, then poof. A whole patch wiped out in one random wind gust. I'd be so mad I'd probably just stand there staring at the mess for an hour. Green beans take like 60 days to get going too, so that's weeks of work down the drain.

Wait, @bennett.nora this actually changed my mind. I never thought hail could hit so fast.
