Hell yeah, I know exactly what you mean. Buddy of mine had this old beater truck that would randomly decide if it wanted to start. Took him four months to figure out it was just a corroded switch under the dash. When he finally cleaned it up and heard that sucker click and the engine turn over you'd a thought he won the lottery. He called me all excited like he just fixed a heart condition or something. Those little wins in the chaos, man.

Actually Alex, I gotta point out @alex307 that "switch" usually refers to networking gear (like a managed switch) not just any random button. But I get what you mean, it's a nice feeling when something clicks into place.
