Ha! I've had plants bounce back from way worse than hail.

The straw mulch trick really saved me after a bad hailstorm last year. I spread it thick around the base of my tomatoes right after the damage and it kept the soil cool and moist while they recovered. @alice89 is right that plants can bounce back, but I found cutting off the worst leaves helped the energy go to new growth instead. A light feeding with fish emulsion a week later seemed to give them a boost too. By August I was actually getting more fruit than I expected, so don't give up hope if yours look rough. Just be patient and give them some extra care for a few weeks.
