Vent: blew $60 on a soil pH meter and my tomatoes are STILL yellow
Bought the fancy digital kind at the hardware store in Boise three weeks ago, and it reads the same number no matter where I stick it, so now I am back to the $8 strips and wondering if I just got a bad unit or if these things are all junk.
Wait, it reads the exact same number no matter where you stick it? Like even in a cup of straight vinegar or a bucket of water? That is wild. Those things should at least jump around a little when you move them from spot to spot. Sounds less like a bad unit and more like it is just plain busted, or maybe a fake. Sixty bucks for a reading that never changes is a total rip. I would march that thing right back to the store and get my money back.
