Almost missed my flight because of a lifted truck taking up two disabled spots at LAX terminal 1

On Sunday I watched a guy in a jacked up F-350 park right over the striped access aisle between two handicap spaces and when I asked him to move he just laughed and said he was only running in for five minutes, so now I always park three rows further out just to avoid that whole circus, has anyone else had to change their airport parking strategy because of these clowns?

Shook my head so hard reading this. @henderson.oscar you nailed it about that cell phone lot, last month I watched a guy in a brand new Ram 1500 with paper plates pull right into the fire lane at terminal 4 and just sit there playing on his phone while people were trying to get through with luggage carts. I asked him nicely to move and he rolled his eyes and said his wife was coming out in two minutes, then proceeded to wait there for fifteen more minutes. It's like these guys think their truck gives them some kind of VIP pass to ignore every single rule.

What is it about airport parking that brings out the worst in people? I had some dude in a rusty old Silverado block two lanes at the cell phone lot last year while he waited for his buddy, and he just shrugged when I honked. Some folks act like the rules don't apply to them once they step out of their truck.

Nah you hit it right on the head. Airport parking is like a free pass for people to act like complete idiots. I think it's because everyone's already stressed about flights and luggage and being late, so they just throw basic decency out the window. That cell phone lot is always a mess too, people treat it like their personal driveway while circling for twenty minutes. And the worst part is nobody ever seems to care when you call them out on it, they just stare at you like you're the crazy one for expecting them to follow simple rules.
