I finally started leaving notes on bad parkers and one wrote back
Last week at the Kroger on South Limestone here in Lexington, a silver Camry was parked across two handicap spots, no tag. I left a note under the wiper that just said "you took two spots, hope your day gets better." Came out 20 minutes later and the driver was waiting by my car. He didn't yell. He said his wife was inside having a panic attack and he parked fast to get to her. I felt like a jerk for judging before I knew anything. Now I want to know, do you all ever leave notes, or is it just a way to feel right without knowing the whole story?
Totally used to be team leave the note, thought it was a harmless way to call out people being selfish. Reading your story though, it kind of flipped that for me, because you never know what someone is running from in that moment. Still bugs me when it's just plain lazy parking, but now I try to give folks the benefit of the doubt first.
