Neighbor chewed me out for parking too close to his driveway

Last Tuesday I came home to a note on my windshield from the guy two doors down saying I was blocking his driveway apron. I always thought I left enough room, but he measured it and said I was only 18 inches clear. That made me actually step it off the next time I parked, and yeah, I was way too tight. Anyone else get called out for something you thought was fine?

18 inches is plenty, @cora863 probably just likes measuring things.

Measure it from your mirror to the end of his driveway apron, not from your bumper. I always leave a full car door's width now after getting the same note.

Huh, I bet that measuring tape is living in @uma_martinez's glovebox now. Seems like once you get that note, you join a secret club of driveway measurements. I'd probably just park on the other side of the street and avoid the whole thing.
