Showerthought: That $50 parking boot I bought for my 'reserved' spot was a waste

I paid $50 for this plastic boot to clamp on cars that park in my spot near downtown Austin. First day I used it, a guy keyed my whole driver's side because he was mad I booted his truck. Cost me $400 to fix the paint, and the boot just sits in my trunk now. Honestly, I should have just called a tow truck each time instead of trying to play parking cop. Has anyone else dropped cash on a parking solution that blew up in their face?

Yeah I feel you @reese124, that kind of thing hits hard. It's rough when someone you trusted just lets you down like that and you're left picking up the pieces. I've been there before and it takes a while to shake off the frustration and disappointment. Hope things start looking up for them soon, no one deserves to deal with that alone.
