That empty lot on 5th looks like free parking but the tow guy camps there every Tuesday
Learned this one the hard way last week when I parked in the gravel lot behind the old Sears on 5th, just for 20 minutes to grab lunch. Came back and my car was gone, $185 to get it out of the impound lot on Industrial Road. Turns out the owner shows up every Tuesday and Thursday around noon and calls in every plate he sees. I counted 6 other cars getting hooked while I was standing there waiting for my ride. If you see open spots in a lot with no signs and no meters, that is not a gift, that is a trap. Check the pavement for faded paint lines and ask a nearby shop owner if it is fair game. Anybody else got a spot in their town that looks safe but eats cars for lunch?
